I am an interpretive sociologist and social psychologist. My research areas are in religion, secularity, and deviance with a focus on identity and worldview construction. I also advise and serve on the board of directors for the nonprofit Humanist Global Charity.

I am an interpretive sociologist and social psychologist. I research and publish primarily in the areas of religion and secularity using qualitative methods. I am currently Joint Editor of the journal, Secularism and Nonreligion and am editing a book by the same name.
